2009. A Story.

Once upon a time, in a very mountainous land, there lived a fair (and by fair, I mean seriously pale) maiden.  Our story begins atop the millenial year 2009.  In January of said year, our maiden had recently begun courting a fine gentleman.  They embarked on their first adventure together into the desert to a marvelous city oftentimes referred to as "Sin City".  While in the sparkling city, they stayed in a fabulous castle built by King Donald Trump.  Although these kinds of rendezvous' are highly discouraged amoung unwedded Christians from their village, they were seriously intrigued by one another and disregarded such advise.  They laughed, played, and enjoyed each others company in the Sin City sun for that fabulous weekend.  It was a weekend worth remembering.

In the begining February, the maiden became very very ill.  She had contracted the dreaded mononucleosis and it had confined her to her bed for nearly two weeks.  The gentleman came to keep the maiden company everyday, which made the maiden very happy.  The maiden's 22nd date of birth came during this illness, but it was a wonderful day nonetheless.  Shortly after the maiden had recovered from her illness St. Valentines day arrived.  The maiden and the gentleman spent the day together.  The gentleman surprised the maiden with her first diamonds, candlelit dancing, and then he told her he loved her.

March brought snow, and it was probably very cold, much like it is every year in the mountainous land.  The maiden traveled with her fellow ladies to the other mountainous land of Colorado.  Although it was also very cold, the ladies had a very fun girls weekend away from the usual day to day.

The sun began to warm the land in April.  The maiden was excited for summer.  She spent the majority of her time with the gentleman.  And the time flew by quickly.  She and the gentleman began to discuss being eternally bonded in each other's "someday".

May also warmed the land, but is hard for the maiden to remember other than secretly picking an official date and time for the maiden and gentleman to be wedded.  Letters were mailed from the Salt Lake Temple to the gentleman and the maiden's homes.  Being as they lived with their parents, the letter which was mailed to the gentleman was picked up by his family who was unaware of any official engagement.  The gentleman's mother inquired to the maiden and the gentleman, "Do you have something to tell me?" to which the maiden giggled out of embarrasment and the gentleman tried to avoid the question.  It was unofficially official.

The rain came everyday for the first two weeks in June.  On the 12th day of June, the gentleman asked for the maiden's hand in marriage.  Of course she said yes.  June also brought the wedding of one of the maiden's best friends Sara.  The wedding of Sara and Devin was really beautiful and the maiden was (and still is) so very happy for her friend.

July was probably very sunny and must have been frought with wedding plans.  The maiden does not really remember this month, but there are no complaints!

Another one of the maiden's best friends Janae married her love Jeffrey in August.  It too was a very beautiful wedding, and the maiden had a very fun time watching her childhood companion tie that knot.

September - Please see the aformentioned July.  However, the maiden does remember couting the days until her wedding day, which may have made her seem like a freak, but she didn't care, she was really excited!

Alyssa, again a friend of the maiden's, was wedded in October.  The wedding of KC and Alyssa was so very fun and the maiden and the gentleman had a great time at the reception at Wheeler Farm.  Also in October, on all hallows eve, the maiden was endowed as a member of the LDS church which brought her and her family much joy.

November finally arrived.  It seemed to take forever.  The maiden and the gentleman were wedd in the Salt Lake Temple.  Despite the momentary blizzard, the day was a dream and is thus far the best day of their lives.  The maiden and gentleman were sososo happy to be married forever.  They then journeyed to the very sunny and sometimes rainey Puerto Rico for their honeymoon.  It was beautiful, and the maiden and the gentleman dearly miss Puerto Rico.  They arrived back to the mountainous land just in time to see more snow and give thanks.

Although it came much too quickly, December always brings joy.  The maiden and the gentleman had an amazing Christmas spent with both of their familia, and very much loved being together for their first married Christmas.

The maiden is very thankful for such an amazing 2009.
