Today I was stuck in an elevator. The darling mechanic man I was stuck with asked if I had any big plans I needed to attend to this weekend, because, bless his heart, he thought we may be stuck for a while.... "Well, um, besides my plan to get the freak out of this elevator, why yes fine sir, my best friend it getting married tomorrow and you can bet she would be SOOO pissed if I didn't make it to those nuptuals because I was stuck in a Matheson Courthouse elevator." SOOOO pissed. I am grateful that I got out of that hot, stinking, elevator. I wasn't in long, but still.

Second, I am thankful that he was really nice. Heaven knows if you have to be stuck on an elevator at all, for even a small amount of time, you will want to be stuck with a NICE mechanic man, the kind who just happened to win a miniature horse in a raffle in Kamas last week, and since he lives in the city, he is not sure what to do with said horse. Don't fret, I told him to sell it. What else is he supposed to do with a miniature horse? Too bad mechanic man wasn't stuck with Rob Dyrdek, he could have given him better advice. Come to think of it, I think Rob sold his miniature horse so I may have given him the right advice after all. "Sorry man, if a millionaire skateboarder can't handle it, I'm not sure you should take on that challenge."

Lastly, had a few minutes to think about tomorrow in that elevator. My best friend is getting married. I remember picking up sweet-lookin' rocks we found on our trek home from school, and putting them in our backpacks for safekeeping. I remember having our moms drop us off at the mall with our ten dollars so we could shop for hours. I remember going to elementary school, middle school, high school, and college with her. I remember so many things. She has been my friend for as long as I have a memory. I am extremely grateful I have had such a wonderful shoulder to cry on, a silly person to giggle with, and an amazing comrade to share my adolescent AND grown-up adventures with. It has been really really fun! So lastly, I am grateful I get to see my best friend say "I do" in just a few short hours. Yea!
